What They Say About ‘2XU WOMEN’S ELITE COMPRESSION PERFORMANCE SOCK’
The sizing is a little confusing but i ended up getting a large because my calfs are very muscular. They ended up fitting perfectly! I’m a little curious as to how the medium would fit but i like the way the Large fit my calfs. My calfs measure at a 16.5" but i’m a 7.5 shoe size. It fits nicely and it seems to be doing the job so i’m happy. The length goes right under my knees so it’s perfect and i’m somewhat short (5’4") so i expected it to be a little long but it wasn’t. The sock is thick and provides extra support which is great.
I bought different type of 2XU compression socks (Performance and Elite), hoping to wear it during my upcoming Spartan Beast race. These (Elite) socks are made with top quality, compression is awesome, keep your calves warm…but WAY TOO THICK. My feet feel soooo cramp in my Solomon SpeedCross (I raced in SpeedCross during my Spartan Super and these sneakers are awesome). The 2XU Performance socks are not as thick (hence, not as warm either) but still give you the same amount of compression.
Eh…I might end up using my Drymax socks with Calves compression sleeves so I get thin fast dry socks but still keep my calves compressed and warm throughout the race.
I love the 2XU women’s compression socks. These are a little easier to put on than some of the other socks by the same brand (they are quite roomy in the toes, which is nice), and thick. As with all compression socks, for best results turn them inside out, line the toes up with your toes, then shimmy then over your foot until you have the heel lined up. Then you can pull them the rest of the way on. I like wearing these while running/walking, and also as recovery socks.
If I buy the right size for my legs they squish my toes. I wanted to use these for my long runs (12+ miles) but by the end my toes are blistered and cramped from the foot part being too small. The pain in my feet is too great to notice any pain or fatigue in my legs, so I guess they kinda do their job
