What They Say About ‘2XU MEN’S COMPRESSION SHORTS’
I liked the feel of the shorts, but I did find it a bit thinner than the CW-X shorts. I have had 6 pairs of CW-X shorts, but feel that the latest versions are not feeling as comfortable with their seams. So I wanted to try the 2XU. I am not a huge fan of the ginormous logo on the legs, but was willing to try them. I used it to run once and found that the crotch are had a little more breathing room, and while the material felt thinner, the legs did feel supported. My biggest issue was that after the first cold wash, there was a snag in the shorts. Over the years we have learned to separate any running clothing (technical shirts, shorts, etc), from anything with a zipper or Velcro to prevent snagging. Somehow the shorts snagged, and I have no idea how. I returned it because I don’t know how much more careful I can be with the washing. Looking for another brand to try.
Great product. I am in my later 40’s and going through candidate training for my 2nd degree black belt. After pulling an inner thigh muscle jolts from kicks and running were causing a lot of pain. I’m still holding back in power to allow healing but the compression/support helped so much I have worn the shorts after workouts until rested to allow muscles to recover from the 3 hour workouts. Fit is snug but size chart was accurate. I am 6’4" and 260 lb. and wear pants in 40-42 inch waist depending on cut as I like a loose fit clothing. For me the XL was perfect.
These are excellent compression shorts. The design allows room up front for the boys while still being tight around the muscles. My only issue is they seem to be a lower waisted short than most other compression/workout shorts, kinda similar to hip briefs which rest on the hips and not so much the waist. No real issues with this yet, i just prefer the higher waisted designs.
Worn them in an obstacle race and they did not get caught on any obstacles. My ‘regular’ shorts would sometimes get snagged. They fit comfortably and did not feel like they cut off circulation in my legs. They did not loosen up when wet and did not get heavy when wet. Allowed total flexibility.
I ordered a size medium and it fits snugly without being too tight or loose. I have ischial bursitis and was hoping that wearing these compression shorts would help with that condition. Candidly, I would claim that they provide only marginal benefit; however, I like the feel of the shorts and have been wearing them when playing pickleball.
Have 2 bad hamstrings from pulling both. Last few years I have been using compression thigh sleeves, which aren’t the most comfortable, but they did the trick to keep my hamstrings healthy. These compression shorts work just as well, and are way more comfortable. When it is time to replace these shorts (wear and tear), I will be purchasing the same ones.
Very comfortable, great compression, and they could be worn without shorts if you really wanted to do so. These seem quite a bit better than the typical UA compression shorts, particularly because of the tie at top (rather than elastic band).
Great Product, I’m very athletic, have multiple pairs of the 2XU compression shorts and tanks. I wear them daily for Working out, Racquetball, and Cycling. I even wear them to work for the support. Really comfortable fit, very well made. Seams are sewn well, unlike lessor priced brands.
If you are athletic and seem to pull muscles easily and/or cramp up frequently, try the 2XU compression fit. Holds you firm and supported.
I am a rather large but active man. I purchased the 3X. I am an avid skater, inline long distance & speed as well as dance skating on quads (at the local roller rink). I have tried many different brands of compression shorts and have settled for wearing various Under Armor versions of compression shorts. That is until now. None of the others ever feel quite right. They just aren’t cut for a guy with my girth. From the second I put these on I could tell they were a step beyond all the others I have tried. They very much remind me of my favorite bicycle shorts but without the pad! I can comfortably move in every direction. There also seems to be a better design for my nether regions. From the moment I put them on, these became my go to favorite compression shorts!
By the manufacture measurements I should have bought a medium, but based on other reviews I got a large and it fits perfect. I’m 5’11" 200 pounds, 32" waist and 10% body fat for other’s reference. So nice are these that I’ve bought other 2XU products now.
