Great jacket look very warm and comfy. Really great price as well. Only complaint is the sizing. I really suggest you order one size up or it will be super fitted with no room underneath for anything else. Good quality.
This is not the fleece that you throw on because it’s a little chilly out. I cannot believe how warm this thing is. For the price I expected a typical light to medium weight zip up fleece. This thing is 2x heavier than any fleece jacket I have seen. This is a full on winter coat. Don’t buy it expecting a lightweight spring jacket, it is made for the cold! Zip it into the outer systems jacket and you are ready to sit in freezing cold rain or snow for hours. It has not been cold enough for me to put these two together until yesterday, so I thought. It was 30° and very windy and I was going to be in the shade with little activity to generate warmth. I was wearing a base layer and a long sleeve camp shirt with this inside of the outer systems jacket and I was so hot I could not zip the coat, I had to leave it open for ventilation. I was sweating and had to come out of it a several times until I got cold again. This is with the sleeves zipped off of it. This jacket (with the sleeves) would have been plenty by itself to keep me warm. I totally underestimated this thing!
Pros – it has a nice heavy zipper, plenty of pockets, is reversible, very heavy weight fleece, quiet material for hunting, plenty of pockets, pockets inside and out, sleeves zip out .
Now having to offer Cons – It is bulky but if it wasn’t it would be the warm heavy jacket that it is, it does not attach other than at zippers to outer systems jacket. This makes a little cumbersome as it is like putting on/taking off two separate coats. There should be some sort of "anchorage" to the other jacket at the back of the neck and sleeves. The outer systems jacket has snap loops but this one has nothing that they can attach to. A small button hole or paracord loop sewn in at each sleeve and the back of the collar would solve that issue. Perhaps an additional one at each armpit or shoulder for when you zip it in without the sleeves. I would highly recommend this to anyone who spends time in the cold and wind. It will keep you warm without a doubt. Don’t underestimate it!
This jacket is very warm and great that it is reversible. I read other reviews about this product being small so I ordered a large (usually a medium). It fits me well and I am 5′ 9" 167 lbs. Even when taking the jacket out of the package, the large looked like it was going to be too small. The elastic waistband can make it ride up a little. This isn’t a big deal for me because I will be wearing bibs underneath.
This jacket is short. It is for short men
This seems to be pretty good gear for the money. The coat is thicker than I tough it would be, should keep you warm in cold weather. I was actually looking for a hunting vest when I came across this which is mainly why I bought it. The only reason I only gave 4 stars is because I don’t really like the bungee around the waist and cuffs, and it fits pretty snug, if you plan in wearing a sweater or anything under this you beer size up. I would like to see them come out with pants in the same material too.
Great jacket. Came a day early, which was awesome. Super warm like stated before. I like jackets a little more form fitting and this one was just a little poofy in the stomach, but I’m skinny. I ordered a medium though I’m usually a small because of what reviews said, and I feel like that was the right thing to do. Order a size up.
These run a little bit small. Definitely warm but slightly bulky when you put the inner jacket and shell together. As a system, doesn’t offer the best range of motion so probably isn’t any good for bow hunting.
Excellent for the price, but definitely small. I like to wear it as a vest. For $20 or so it’s well worth it.
i was very happy with the coat. the only thing i didn’t like is that they run small. i am normally a large-X large guy, but the X-large was too small so i returned it for a XX-large. can’t wait to get it back!
