What They Say About ‘2(X)IST MEN’S ESSENTIALS LONG-SLEEVE HENLEY TOP’

I have purchased a total of 4 of these shirts. The first two (black & white) I bought back in 2009 at the same time. I wore them in heavy rotation because they quickly became some of my most versitile and favorite shirts… until the white one developed a few small holes last year (2013), probably because I use bleach on my whites. The black one is a little lighter/faded than it was when it was newnow days of course, but the favbric/seams/elastic still in perfect condition. I replaced the white one 6-9 months ago. I bought a new black one to replace it a few days ago, just because my original black one is getting harder and harder to find for sale online as of late. In reference to other negative reviews I’ve read about these, some are very true. You DO have to be extremely careful with them when washing them, that is 100% true. You can’t just throw them in the washer then dryer. They’ll get ALL jacked up. I wash mine in ice cold water on delicate, and never EVER dry them in a dryer. If you hang them on a drying rack, don’t use bleach, and let them air-dry every time you wash them, the’ll last a long long time. This isn’t a problem for me becuase I don’t ever machine-dry any of my shirts of any kind anyways. If you’re looking for something rugged that you can just throw in the washer/dryer and not have to worry about it, I’d look into another product for sure. If you’re willing to deal with the careful washing/drying process, they’re perfect, they go with anything, they’re extremely comfortable, are VERY well cut and fitted, and in my personal experience "well made" as far as fabric/stictching. Long story shirt, I highly recommend them… but they’re definitely not for everyone.

I was disappointed with the shirt given the glowing reviews. Immediately after trying the shirt on, I noticed it was designed for wide (read: fat) people; the midsection was very roomy. I wasn’t particularly impressed with the material either, but it’s not bad. After one wash, an attempt to reduce it’s dimensions, the shirt was worse off. I will be avoiding 2(x)ist from now on.

not great material.

Works great as a base layer, either casually in the winter, or while skiing. 2xist fits small guys very well, and their products are top notch. I prefer their stuff over designer brands even as the fit is great and they last well. Highly recommend.

Fits my arms but not my chest, im a bit skinny. The s*** is very thin

The fit is loose – I’m 6’3″ and 210 lbs. and a large is not snug – but the it shrank so much that it is unwearable after the first wash. It was washed in cold water and then dried on cool/delicate dry, specifically to prevent shrinking, and yet its now $27 down the drain. If it is worth air-drying to you then it’s a decent piece, but otherwise Target makes similar ones that haven’t shrunk in a year.

Works great worn by itself (pajama top)(maybe too thin for some use – the white one is a bit see-through) or even under formal dress shirts. Fine and thin (not extremely thin) but warm. The end of sleeve has a finish like a shirt which keeps it tight so it doesnt hang loose. Very happy.

this was the worst quality long sleeve ive ever owned. washed it once, shrank to my nephew’s size. and its just too thin, and overall a bad product. i will never buy another one from these guys.

One of the reviews stated that this shirt ran a little long, but when I first tried it on, it just fit. After a couple of washes, its shrunk, the sleaves are up my arms by 3 to 4 inches. I assumed it was preshrunk, but it’s obviously not. I don’t wash or dry in hot, but it certainly needs delicate care.

I am 5’11”, weight 195 pounds, and this shirt fits me perfectly (size: small); maybe a little tight on the chest. The material is too fragile, so i don’t expect this henley to last for years. It’s a very nice henley, but the material could definetely be better.
