This dress is comfortable and holds up to dancing for hours. I paid attention to the other reviewers comments about the dye running so I first put the dress in the sink and covered it with plain white vinegar for about 20 minutes. I then wrung out most of the liquid and put the dress in the dryer for about 6 or 7 minutes, enough time to set the color. I then washed the dress in hot water in the washing machine like I normally wash clothes. The dye did not run nor did the dress shrink. I still have a beautiful blue and white dress.

This dress is exactly as it shows in the picture and fits very well. I am 5 ft 8 inches tall, and my biggest issue with most dresses is fitting in the chest area. I am a 40DDD. This dress fits. It stretches enough to cover everything and doesn’t make me feel like I am going to fall out. It also fits on the shoulders so that it can cover the required bra straps. If you are feeling frisky, you can also drop it off your shoulders and go with the peasant look. Either way, it looks great. It has a small slip underneath, but on sunny days it might be better to wear another slip so that you aren’t showing off all the bits. I have worn it on warm days since it is made from cotton, and it is cool. I don’t feel like I am suffocating in it at all. I am not much of a dress wearer, but I would wear more of these. Oh, and the length of this is not a full on to-the-floor maxi length. I have a 32 inch inseam, and this dress comes a little longer than mid calf on me.

This is a gorgeous dress. I am petite (5’1" and 110 lbs), and this comes just above my ankles, so yes, short women can wear it too.

PURPLE
I found that the purple dye bleeds a lot at first. I soaked the purple dress in a large mixing bowl, using undiluted white vinegar for at least 10 minutes. I then rinsed the dress out several times in water. After that, I put the dress in the dryer under low heat for about 15 minutes. Then I hung the dress, which was slightly dam, from a hanger on the shower rod to dry. Results: The purple is still a rich color in the originally purple areas. The originally white parts are now a light lilac. Fortunately, I like lilac. In fact, I think the purple dress looks better now that it’s purple and lilac.

BURGUNDY
I soaked my burgundy dress in water with just a little vinegar. (since I used up most of the vinegar with the purple dress). The burgundy dress barely bled at all. So I believe some of the dye colors bleed more than others.

I will only hand wash these dresses in cold water (as I do all my favorite clothing). I will use a low heat to damp-dry them, and then I will finish drying them by air drying them on hangers. This way, the dresses will last longer. Heat breaks down all fibers faster, so if there are any clothes that you want to last longer, avoid using, or minimize using, heat on them.

I bought 5 dresses, a different color for each of the “girls” to wear at a family celebration. We are all different sizes and shapes, from a size 2 to a size 12 (who was also 7 months pregnant at the time:). “One size” truly fits all.These dresses comfortably fit each one of us. Sounds remarkable, I know… I chose each of my daughter’s favorite color along with my sister in law and mother-in-law’s. They made our Luau so much more fun! We made such a memory that day celebrating my father in law’s 80th bday.

The material is a soft cotton, gauze. They each came with an attached inner, cotton, lining that matches the color of the dress. The neck line is very modest. The sleeve lengths and elastic are very comfortable, not exposing some of our “fuller” upper arms. 🙂 cant say enough about how happy I was with this purchase.

I often now wear my dress when I really want to have nothing binding, as on a relaxing Sunday afternoon. I wash it with alike colors, and let it drip dry so as the gauzy wrinkled look will remain. My colors didnt run, but I think it has faded a little. I hear from from my daughters, the brighter red and maroon dresses did run and also faded. It’s not a big deal though. Just gives the dress a new look and they re still very pretty shades. 🙂

Like some of the other reviewers, I also put mine on delicate and cold water BUT had very poor results. The dress bled so badly that the dark shade is now no longer a gem tone and the white….well you would never have know it was white. Loved this dress and I guess if I bought another (I had originally thought one in every color liked it so much) I would clean with dryel instead of washing to keep fabric texture and colors true. I still love the design and fit of the dress but do not like what happens to the fabric when it is washed.

The dress is very comfortable and a fantastic fit. Loved the green and white. However, when washed using instructions indicated, the green color ran and now the dress is shades of green. No longer any white. Dress was prettier when white and green. Will still wear it but wish the color had not run.

When i received this item, the chemical smell was overwhelming. I read the tag, washed as instructed…it is no longer white and purple; it is dark purple and light purple. The colors ran so badly and it still smells like chemicals. It was such a waste of money, and extremely disappointing. The fit is fine. Had no problems receiving the item on time (using Prime).

I’m 5’2" and 115 lbs. so most clothes I buy have to be altered for my shortness. I was skeptical about how this dress would fit, so I read all the reviews before I bought it. Wow. What a surprise when it slipped over my head and fell in graceful lines just as the picture showed. I am so happy.

I was a bit afraid to buy this after reading some of the negative reviews, but I went ahead and got it based upon the positive reviews.

This is a really cute dress, and will be great for summer wear when the weather warms up.

Mine had no off odor as reported by other buyers, but I could tell that the colors would bleed. I did a vinegar soak twice, once in hot to remove the excess dye, once in cold to semi set the dye, then put in the dryer to do a final set of the dye. I then washed it, some of the color still bled out as evidenced on my color catcher sheet, but it was minimal. The dress is still a bright turquoise and is lovely.

I am 5’5" about 128 lbs and it fits nice and comes to about the bottom of my calf.

The bottom line, just take care when washing the first time, set the dye, and I think you’ll be happy.

I rarely write reviews, but decided that all the compliments I received wearing these dresses merited at least one back from me.

I first purchased three of these for a cruise to the Carribean. I knew I was taking a chance because the dresses are marked "one size fits all" and, usually, at 5’2" and 103 lbs, this type of claim seems to cover all–all but me. The price was so reasonable and the description so perfect for a cruise to hot climes that I crossed my fingers and ordered them against my better judgement.

My "better" judgement turned out to be my worst judgement as not only did these cool, comfortable dresses fit, but I garnered compliments each time I wore one. In Jamaica, an owner of a tourist dress shop actually came outside and asked if she could take a picture of me in my outfit of matching summer hat and sandals and that "spectacular" dress. When I walked down the corridors of the ship I was continually told how beautiful I was. My husband was even told he "must be a rich man" when he introduced me.

I read the reviews about bleeding upon washing and rather than risk this, I have cleaned them with Woolite’s dry cleaning cloths and this has worked perfectly.

When I returned from the cruise, I immediately ordered more dresses in all the available colors.

I am planning another trip this summer and no clothing will go into my suitcase but these outfits and their accessories.

Since imitation is said to be the biggest form of flattery and eveyone who saw these dresses wanted one, I really need to say nothing else–except I wish they’d add more colors to their selections so I could purchase some more!
