I was heartbroken when I lost my last pair of reading glasses. They were more fashionable than others I’d seen at the local drug store and I could not remember the brand. I did buy them at a Barnes and Noble, but alas they no longer carried them. Buying glasses without trying them on is always tough, but with Amazon Prime’s return policy I gave it a shot and glad I did. The glasses are not only well made, but so comfortable due to their bamboo temples. Unlike the metal glasses I had they do not dig into my head and leave marks. The optics were five star. The construction is weak. I received these on December 20, 2013 and the temple broke at the hinge on January 12, 2014. I was not rough with them. Very disappointed in the engineering and materials used at the hinge connection to the frame. The hinge pulled out of the plastic frame.
I chose these reading glasses for their GQ style and unique bamboo material of construction. The glasses look great and are light, making them comfortable … if properly constructed. Unfortunately, for the pair I received, the temples are mismatched in their bend, with one of the temples bent in significantly more than the other. This causes the glasses to sit on the face at an angle. The temples cannot be reshaped as they are wood. It would seem that the quality control is lacking in addition to the production process. I am returning them for refund and will order another pair, hopefully properly constructed.
These glasses will not fit most faces. I wear a men’s size XL hat and these glasses are far too wide for my face. The temple hinges are very loose. With just a few weeks wear, the finish is wearing off the temples. After purchased these glasses, I purchased three pairs of Private Eyes glasses, Anchor, Evidence and Tasker, that are constructed of far better materials, are of normal size and more stylish.

Beautiful glasses for the price. The magnification seems stronger than other reading glasses I’ve tried…suggest you go one or two notches down in magnification from what you think you need.
I’ve had trouble with reading glasses not fitting right. Often short at the temple and too narrow. Blurry lenses. I’d come to the point where I was about to order glasses from an optometrist but took a chance on these glasses on Amazon. I think my reading glass problem is over. They fit well, have clear lenses and have a stylish look. Thank you to Amazon reviewers for opinions that help with these purchases.

I have been buying rimless reading glasses for years and saw these with interesting frames. The bamboo gets noticed immediately. I have not bought plastic frames for many years staying with rimless. The new look has gotten me compliments. I originally saw them in an expensive catalogue and found Amazon pricing to be much more competitive. I am happy with this purchase.
Love these glasses so much I am buying a few more. Light weight with clear optics that seem to have better focal distance than the others I own.
