I have both these and the CEP Men’s Running Progressive Compression Socks. I really like both. Both seem to have comparable compression and seem to help me so that my legs do not feel as beat up after a long run in the hills.

Here is the difference to me. I am 5’9″ male, about 160lbs, with 30″ inseam. The CEP are a little longer, I could probably pull them over my knees if I want. The 2XU hit me about 1-1 1/2″ below my knee (perfect to me). The CEP are not a problem, you just put them on as the online video states and they are great.

The CEP seem to be a little tighter around the ankle and therefore a little more difficult to put on and take off.

If you are taller, I would go with the CEP if you are shorter (as am I) I would go with the 2XU.

These socks are great for keeping your ankles from swelling on long distance flights. I also tried the 2XU compression performance socks, but they don’t stretch as well and I ripped a hole in one trying to get it on. I have a size 12 foot but thin calves, so I need a medium, and the compression race socks stretch so much that they are easy to get on, but they are still have great compression. I don’t know if 2XU even makes these any more. I think the ones I got were some kind of close-out. Too bad, because these are the best compression socks that I’ve found.

I wouldn’t have been able to get these on my size 12’s without help, but recognizing that the treatment requires a tight fit, we muscled it through. They were actually surprisingly comfortable once we got them on, but there has to be a better way. If you’re dealing with swollen legs, then the size chart might not accurately represent what you should buy. I bought the XL. It seems like a no-win situation though since if you buy too big you don’t get the compression you need. I won’t be able to wear these as often as I should because of the pain and difficulty in getting them on. I had hoped this more expensive brand would have allowed for more stretch in putting them on than the lower cost alternatives. Guess I’ll have to keep looking.

I like these so much that this is my second pair!

I’m just turning 60 and have found that after a long day’s hiking my ankles swell! Old age, I guess?

Anyway, I tried these socks and they have eliminated this annoying problem!

Plus, my legs no longer ache after a long hike, like they used to? I guess they really work!

You will get a good warmup workout putting them on and later taking them off, too.

When you first get them they seem incredibly too small to possibly fit. Just work them on and P U L L ! Eventually, they will full up to your knees.

This may seem like a lot of work but notice the extra spring in your step when you are wearing them and you will realize it is worth it!

These socks aren’t going to make you feel like a brand new person with new legs or some kind of miracle worker; but they do prevent you from feeling more fatigue the next day. What does that mean? Well, I decided to give these socks a try for a 3 mile trail jogging the day after I did a 5k mud run. These socks are a bit difficult to put on as previous reviews have said. Anyways, after running 3 miles of trails after my 5k mud run the previous day, I felt that these socks prevented me from being extremely tired. However, I didn’t feel like these socks made my calves feel any more life or rejuvenated from wearing these. All and all, I would say that these socks do it’s job. It keep your calves from getting in any more fatigue than you already are.

I’m pretty heavy for distance runner (200lbs at 5’9). My calves are okay from running in the vibrams, but the right shin (on the inner side) would kill me for a couple of days after a long run (6+miles).

With a little doubt, I got this pair of socks to see compression socks are all about. I ran a 10-mile on Saturday, wore these socks afterward and on Sunday, and ran another 6-mile on Mon morning at a decent speed.

These socks had really helped the recovery.

(I also had a little interesting experience while ordering these sock: the first time Amazon sent me an open box with the left sock in it; after filing of the replacement, i received another box with the right one in it (while still being asked to return the left one). But after talking to Amazon they agreed for me not having to return the left one.)

I wear these after I work out, when I work out, and at night when I sleep. Anytime I think that my legs will swell. it does a great job, I don’t get cramps anymore and I feel a lot more energetic because I don’t have the swelling. The compression works well.

I finally took the plunge and got some compression socks! I used them after this weekend’s long run of 10 miles. It was great. The next day I had NO soreness or fatigue in my feet or calves. I am a plus size woman with large feet and ended up with these Men’s socks in a size small. They fit good except the toe box is a little big on me. This doesn’t bother me because I am just using them for recovery. These were also a great price compared to the other compression socks I looked at. The socks have given me my post long run life back, haha.

I got size medium based on my calf circumference as the website says, but while the compression is good, they seem a little short. I can’t keep them as high on my calf as I’d like them to be. I don’t run in them, just wear them at work after I run to aid in recovery. I think if I ran in them they would probably slide down even farther. If I’d gotten a size large, the length would probably be better, but I’m sure I would lose some of the compression. I still have them and wear them, I’m just not as happy with them as I am with another brand that I paid about half as much for.

They really do help for longer endurance or trail type running. They do run one size too small. I am big fan of 2XU and have used their calf sleeves for 2years now. I have a obstacle race coming up with mud trail etc and wanted to avoid the dirt and rock in the sock thing so I got the complete calf sleeve sock in one. The normal size for me medium was too tight and actually about 2 miles into my training run I could not run anymore due to extreme calf pain. I ordered the next size up and went for my run with no issues.
